Hi lovelies! I can't believe there's only 10 days until Christmas. Each year I'm always stunned at how fast the holiday season comes around and no matter how well I organize and prepare in advance, there's always much to get done. Tis the season of parties, events, and gatherings in various shapes and sizes and let's face it, deciding what to wear to each of these special occasions can become time and money consuming. Orchestrating a perfect look for every holiday occasion can get quite stressful. Here's a look that I wore recently to an informal holiday dinner party. Although I'm not decorated in holiday colors here (saving those looks for upcoming festive holiday gatherings), I sorta pieced together a couple of items already housed in my wardrobe which literally connected the dots for me. This look includes a few of my favorite things - polka dots, bows, and fur! I also love the mustard pencil skirt which still reminds me that there's still a few days of Fall left. Black and white polka dots always look great against a primary color. Though I've never paired polka dots of any sort with mustard, I really love how it compliments another. I purchased these fur sandals from Top Shop last year and vowed to not throw them away. Lucky me, they certainly came into handy just in time for holidays again this year.
If you've begun to attend holiday events this early, it's quite ok to not drape yourself in red, green and anything in-between just yet. Embrace chic for a bit, and save the festive colors for the five day countdown (December 20th). Don't stress and don't go buy everything new. Search and "connect the dots" from within your wardrobe first to determine what pieces can paired together for great holiday chic looks!
